The tales of pirates with golden teeth sailing the intrepid seas in search of elusive treasure, the young women growing up in dystopian societies and learning how to become who they were meant to be, silly dog tales where the dog was always a feisty detective. It didn’t matter, stories made life fun and interesting.

My love for English and writing was not so instantaneous; it was carefully nurtured by an extraordinary teacher, Ms. Lujan, who possessed the remarkable ability to breathe life into the pages of every book and make language a living, breathing entity.
